As January unfolds, it marks the commencement of an exhilarating wedding season and, more imminently, the orchestration of pre-wedding sessions. While the pre-wedding discussion typically arises in our initial meeting, I recommend deciding closer to the date whether you’d like to partake in one. It’s not a requisite, but as your wedding photographer, I believe in furnishing you with all the details to make an informed decision. Thus, I’ve assembled comprehensive information below, along with some valuable tips and suggestions.

5 Compelling Reasons to Opt for a Pre-Wedding Session:

  1. Practice for the wedding day.
  2. Building a deeper connection
  3. Showcasing Your Unique Couple Identity
  4. Securing stunning photos for the wedding
  5. Quality time together

Cost and inclusions:

A pre-wedding session is priced at €350 (excluding VAT)*, covering:

  1. Two-hour photo shoot
  2. Choice of two locations
  3. All final edited images in full resolution (JPEG’s)
  4. Personalised password-protected online gallery

*For Gozo sessions, an additional €100 surcharge applies to accommodate extra time and travel costs.

Payment can be made on the day or settled via an emailed invoice with a subsequent bank transfer.

How It Works:

Initiate the process by selecting a date. After securing the date, take your time deciding on the locations. A few weeks before the session, we’ll discuss your chosen sites and finalise the shoot time, considering factors like hair and makeup appointments and available light. On the day, we meet at the agreed-upon location and embark on capturing your unique connection. While I may guide you through poses, these are gentle prompts to encourage authentic interactions.

Locations:

The possibilities are endless, and I encourage you to choose meaningful locations. From Bingemma to St. Peter’s Pool, your chosen spots should reflect your shared journey. Proximity between locations is advised to optimise time and light efficiently.

Session Scheduling:

Sessions are available Monday through Thursday, with timing dependent on location and season. Starting at around 3:30 pm/4:00 pm in the winter months and progressing later in the warmer seasons ensures optimal lighting. Unfortunately, weekend sessions are unavailable due to a packed wedding schedule, and peak times like May and June are not open for pre-wedding sessions.

What to wear:

When it comes to attire, embrace individual styles. Avoid matching outfits, opt for complementary colours, favour solid colours and simple patterns, and consider layering and essorising. Above all, stay true to your personal style and comfort zone.

Can furry friends and little ones join?

Absolutely! I welcome the inclusion of pets and kids in your pre-wedding session. However, for a smoother experience, having someone care for them after a brief involvement at the beginning is advised.
Weather Contingency:
If weather concerns arise, we’ll discuss a plan a few days before the session. Rescheduling due to rain or storms is recommended, while cloudy weather often enhances photo outcomes, especially during sunset.

Booking Information:

Feel free to discuss and, if inclined, book your pre-wedding session by emailing/live chat/call me with your preferred dates. Keep in mind that dates are booked on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, so prompt communication is key.

I eagerly anticipate being a part of your wedding day, capturing the essence of your unique love story!
